The Story of the Yellow Lab Lodge
Since it’s inception in July 2003, the Yellow Lab Lodge has provided a great place to gather on Minnesota’s Iron Range. Named by one of our closest advisors, Brent Selden, the Yellow Lab Lodge gets it’s name from “Gage”, our big yellow dog. It took Brent and Trudi a while to talk Howie out of the Yellow Dog Inn, but their persistence paid off, and another Northern Minnesota legend was born!
Every year proves to be a banner year at the Yellow Lab Lodge . From the snowy winter to the blistering summer heat, the Yellow Lab Lodge saw it’s share of visitors from all over the world. Family, friends, hunters & fishermen, and even some guests that we didn’t know stopped by to wish us well! the Yellow Lab Lodge boasts it is THE place to be on Minnesota’s Iron Range for fun, relaxation, and especially, FOOD.
In the very near future you'll be able to take a step inside a journey through the kitchen of the Yellow Lab Lodge . From basic BBQ rubs to how to make the ultimate summer side dishes, drinks and desserts, we will give you the dish on how to do it all!
With an expansion looming on the horizon, the Yellow Lab Lodge will be able to accommodate more guests comfortably. The expansion will include a bunkhouse and a new sauna and a wood fired pizza oven!
